Customer Service VS Customer Service

Written on April 12, 2007 – 8:32 am | by avenue299

A lot of people asked me whether I’m happy with my current job as a Customer Service Executive (CSE)? My answer to them all is, YES! I am very happy. The job that I am working now does not get scolded most of the time but on the other hand, I get to help people a lot! Easing their work and make more life happier… And the best part is that I am leading the most complimented CSE in International SOS KL. Very prod of myself and I dedicate all the compliment to my fellow colleagues in my team. Great job to all of us! Keep up the great work!!!

Actually in my department, I do work very different from any other CSE in banks or communication centres. People do not call us when they have problem with their accounts or telephone line. They call us when they need our help! Therefore, we are always there to help them and we are always the ones listening to their trouble. We are there to help them… 24-hours a day. The best part will be they will be very happy when we manage to help them and it merely makes me happy whenever I am able to lift up ones burden. Usually I do not get scolded. Of course there might be some difficult customers but I am sure there are ways to tackle them… I am just enjoying my working… (while I still can)

** On 24 July 2007 in the Kick Off 2007, I have been crowned as the winner of "Service Quality Award Jan/Jun 2007" in Intl SOS Kuala Lumpur. P1010037

See me in a magazine!!!

Where’s my modem???

Written on March 10, 2007 – 4:07 am | by avenue299

Last two days, during my work, my father called but unfortunately I was on the other line with a caller at work. I hung up the mobile and he called again. The line that I was on with the customer was badly disturbed with the interference sound. Very bad! I had to put my customer on hold and ask my father that I have to call back later. Can you imagine the situation? I was rather frustrated.

After talking to the customer, I rang my father up. And guess what?! He asked me for the modem configuration. He’s actually at my 4th uncle’s house, trying to help him to connect the modem. Well, I guess my uncle should have got the same modem that I was using at home. I told him that I’ll get the configuration numbers to him later at night after my work.

After I reached home, "WHERE"S MY MODEM???!" Damn! It’s not in the room. Not anywhere else. My father was not at home that night, so when I met him on the next day, asked him about the whereabout of the modem. He said it’s in my 4th uncle’s house.

Somemore on the same day, my 4th uncle called me to go to his uncle to help him to do the configuration. I was like "What?!"

Can you take someone’s belonging without asking first? I was so frustrated that I actually shouted in the car asking why he’s not dead yet???? Can you imagine how much frustation and anger I have in my heart? I do not mind lending the modem or even giving the modem to my uncle but at least ask first ~lah… pakai ambik aje… Macamlah dia yang punya… bengang betul!

Latest UPDATE!!!

Wanna know what happened to my modem? My uncle returned the modem to my father and guess what??!!! It’s not functioning anymore. I suspected it could be struck by lightning. Now no one can use the modem! And no one is happy! To all the fathers out there, the moral of the story is… IF you do not want your children to hate you the rest of your life, DO NOT TAKE THEIR PROPERTIES WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION FIRST!!!

Banner

A. Pengacara TV Lelaki Popular
1. AC Mizal
2. Ally Iskandar
3. Aznil Nawawi
4. Jimmy Shanley
5. Wahid Senario

My Choice : Aznil Nawawi

He’s got Akademi Fantasia under his belt and also his own family talk show “Macam-macam Aznil”, these are enough to prove the popularity of Aznil! Anyway, his easy-going way of hosting can be very enjoyable, especially to those who’s looking for fun!!!

B. Pengacara TV Wanita Popular
1. Cheryl Samad
2. Fara Fauzana
3. Linda Onn
4. Ogy Ahmad Daud
5. Raja Azura

My choice : Fara Fauzana

She’s the girl! She’s funky, easy-going, happy and yippie! I love her style. But don’t get me wrong. I personally think that Cheryl Samad & Linda Onn both have their own group of audience but I must admit that they are lack of “fate” with audiences. Ogy & Raja Azura are fun too! They’ve got experience and knowledge. Frankly speaking, a hard decision but Fara Fauzana gets my vote for this one.

C. Penyampai Radio Lelaki Popular
1. Faizal Ismail (Hot FM)
2. Halim Othman (Sinar FM)
3. Khairil Rashid (Era FM)
4. Khairul Ikhwan (Hot FM)
5. Kieran (Era FM)

My Choice : Halim Othman

I’m not sure about the others but every time one talks about radio, Halim Othman comes to my mind. They are both (the radio & Halim) too similar & they compliment each other. (At least, too me!)

D. Penyampai Radio Wanita Popular
1. Abby Fana (Sinar FM)
2. Fara Fauzana (Hot FM)
3. Linda Onn (Era FM)
4. Nana (Era FM)
5. Sharifah Aleeya (Hot FM)

My Choice : Linda Onn

Similar to Halim, Linda is already an icon for radio station. They just can’t be separated!

E. Artis Komedi Lelaki Popular
1. Afdlin Shauki
2. Mazlan Pet Pet
3. Saiful Apek
4. Wahid
5. Yassin Yahya

My Choice : Saiful Apek

Apek!!! He’s so funny… nothing else to comment. He’s too good to be true.

F. Artis Komedi Wanita Popular
1. Adibah Nor
2. Alliza Abdullah (Enot)
3. Raja Azura
4. Sharifah Shahira
5. Sheila Rusly

My Choice : Sheila Rusly

My vote goes to Sheila Rusly as she’s able to be versatile in her joke and Sheila can become anything at anytime. Just give her a script, and she’ll be able to act right on the spot. She’s still got me remembering her impersonating Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza in Cit Cat Azwan where she’s miming Dato’s “Biarlah Rahsia”. That’s really something!

G. Artis Baru Lelaki Popular
1. Akbar
2. Faizal AF4
3. Fazli Zainal
4. Felix Agus
5. Izwan Pilus

My Choice : Felix Agus

Felix has the best voice. Nothing else to comment.

H. Artis Baru Wanita Popular
1. Amylea AF3
2. Farahwahida
3. Ina Naim
4. Leez AF4
5. Marsha

My Choice : Farahwahida

I think the nominees in this list MUST work harder in order to get more attention from the public… positively (of coz!). I know who they are. It’s just that, I’m not sure where they stand. Hope you get what I mean. I can hear their names, every now and then. It’s just that, they have nothing to represent themselves. Farahwahida is a bit different. At least she has “Tanpamu” which I think it’s actually a good composition, matched with a great voice.

I. Penyanyi Nasyid Popular
1. Hijjaz
2. In-Team
3. Mirwana
4. Rabbani
5. Raihan

My Choice : Raihan

I’m not sure about this category as I hardly listening to nasyid. But to me, Raihan is the one who started the nasyid concept in

Malaysia

. Therefore, my vote goes to Raihan.

J. Penyanyi Lelaki Popular
1. Amy Search
2. Awie
3. Faizal AF4
4. Mawi
5. M Nasir

My Choice : Mawi

Mawi is not my personal favourite but since we’re looking for popular Male Singer, I guess, he’s too famous to be a good singer already.

K. Penyanyi Wanita Popular
1. Erra Fazira
2. Dayang Nurfaizah
3. Jaclyn Victor
4. Misha Omar
5. Siti Nurhaliza

My Choice : Siti Nurhaliza

Need I say more? She’s been winning the title for the past 9 years! Who else can beat her record? Her popularity is still standing although she’s married.

L. Artis Berkumpulan / Duo Popular
1. Jamal & Mawi
2. KRU
3. Nikki & Zahid
4. Spider
5. V.E

My Choice : Nikki & Zahid

”Caramu” is a very good duet song which carries a very novice & fresh feeling to the industry. Both of them comes from Reality Shows and both of them are young. They just compliment each other well.

M. Pelakon Filem Lelaki Popular
1. Afdlin Shauki
2. Farid Kamil
3. Que Haidar
4. Rosyam Nor
5. Saiful Apek

My Choice : Saiful Apek

Only one reason : Cicakman!!! This movie really shone and he’s actually brought the whole movie alive besides the visual effects and everything.

N. Pelakon Filem Wanita Popular
1. Erra Fazira
2. Fasha Sandha
3. Nasha Aziz
4. Rita Rudaini
5. Umie Aida

My Choice : Fasha Sandha

She’s to uprising female actress now. It’s time for her to shine. She’s pretty. Her acting is good. (But still can be polished) She’ll be the next Erra Fazira soon.

O. Pelakon TV Lelaki Popular
1. Ako Mustapha
2. Arash Mohamad
3. Fahrin Ahmad
4. Rosyam Nor
5. Zed Zaidi

My Choice : Rosyam Nor

Rosyam is still the man although I personally liked Ako Mustapha. Rosyam will win this title… again!

P. Pelakon TV Wanita Popular
1. Abby Abadi
2. Eja
3. Fasha Sandha
4. Rita Rudaini
5. Sheila Rusly

My Choice : Sheila Rusly

As I mentioned previously, Sheila is a good actress and she can act accordingly to the script…. professionally and convincingly. I think it’s time for her to get the prize… although Fasha & Rita might be her tight competitors. My vote still goes to Sheila.

Q. Bintang Paling Popular

DATO’ SITI NURHALIZA

*These are all my personal choices and preferences only. Updates about the winners will be announce once available.

Anugerah Juara Lagu 21- 21 JAN 2007!

Written on January 20, 2007 – 5:50 pm | by avenue299

Banner_general_1Anugerah Juara Lagu 21 will be shown on TV3 tonight and this year it is actually a different one because it is held in Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil and the song judgement is actually done prior to the show. The only category judged on the spot is actually "Persembahan Terbaik/ Best Performance".

As usual there are three categories; Balada (Ballad), Pop Rock, & Irama Malaysia & Etnik Kreatif (Modern Traditional). Below are the nominated songs and those in blue are actually my personal selection & prediction.

Balada/Ballad

1. Ku Seru - Misha Omar/Ajai/Suhaimi Baba & Habsah Hassan

2. Mungkir Bahagia - Hazami/Hazami/Ita

3. Secebis Harapan - Nora/Zulkifli Mahat/Noor

4. Terlalu Istimewa - Adibah Noor/Azlan Abu Hassan/Adibah Noor

Pop Rock

1. Diari Seorang Lelaki - Pretty Ugly/Neves/Neves

2. Juwita Citra Terindah - M.Nasir/M.Nasir/M.Nasir

3. Lagu Cinta Lagu Jiwa - M.Nasir & Mawi/M.Nasir/Loloq

4. Tak Tercapai Akalmu - Elyana/Aidit Alfian/Ad Ahmad

Irama Malaysia & Etnik Kreatif/Modern Traditional

1. Candak - Siti Nordiana/Pak Ngah/Lokman Ghani

2. Hantaran Hati - Bob & Aspalela Abdullah/Nik Nizam/Rosminah Tahir

3. Warkah Buat Laila - Zahid/Ayob Ibrahim/Habsah Hassan

4. Zapin Cinta SMS - Senario & Adibah Noor/Anuar Dahalan/Anuar Dahalan

My predicted Juara Lagu is Juwita Citra Terindah.

Frankly speaking, this year’s list of songs is not very competitive as the quality of each of the songs has dropped compared to the years when big names like Siti Nurhaliza, Ziana Zain, Noraniza Idris, Jamal Abdillah & Anuar Zain are competing. But I must admit that the most competitive category is the Pop Rock Category. All songs in this category are in good arrangement and catchy with great lyrics.

Let’s see who’s winning big tonight!

P/S: Without watching the show, I can know that Mawi & M.Nasir (Lagu Cinta Lagu Jiwa) will win the Best Performance category as this category takes in SMS votes from fans.

The results :

I’ve got all the winners for each categories correct but Juara Lagu was crowned to Terlalu Istimewa instead. But I do feel that it is a good composition. But to me, Juwita Citra Terindah is much towards the theme which is "Rentak Kita Rentak Dunia" (Our Rythm is the World’s Rythm).

Below are the winners for Juara Lagu 21 :

JUARA LAGU : Terlalu Istimewa - Adibah Noor/Azlan Abu Hassan/Adibah Noor

Juara Balada : Terlalu Istimewa - Adibah Noor/Azlan Abu Hassan/Adibah Noor

Juara Pop Rock : Juwita Citra Terindah - M.Nasir/M.Nasir/M.Nasir

Juara Irama Malaysia & Etnik Kreatif/Modern Traditional : Warkah Buat Laila - Zahid/Ayob Ibrahim/Habsah Hassan

Vokal Terbaik (Best Vocal) : Adibah Noor

Persembahan Terbaik (Best Performance) : Hazami

The Red Kebaya

Written on December 10, 2006 – 8:06 pm | by avenue299

3kebaya00  I won 2 complimetary tickets to this movie. Watched it in GSC Times Square, KL. I find it good and rated it 3.5/5 stars. Vanidah Imran has always been a good actress and in this movie, she’s exceptionally convincing and she’s brought the whole movie to life… especially the part when she and her new husband got killed. That’s the best part of the movie. She’s pretty too! Very Malay and down-to-earth.

This movie features a few local talents which I think, it’s good to see them in it - Elain Daly, Soraya Dean, Paula Malai Ali, Patrick Teoh and a few others.

This movie is about a photographer who happens to be an orphan, found back his childhood memories while accessing his new photography project about abandoned houses in Malaysia. The location of this movie is mostly taken in Penang (which kind of related to me - my girlfriend’s hometown!) And Bukit Bendera made me thinking back of my starting phase with her.

The best line in the movie was delivered by an Indian actress to an English actress (the main actor’s wife); "I can speak three languages. How about you?!" I am proud to be a Malaysian who can speak more than two languages - Bahasa Melayu, English, Cantonese and Mandarin. My girlfriend is even better; she can speak Hokkien.

Good local film with equal international standard. GO LOCAL!

**Congratulations to Vanida Imran for winning the best actress award in the 20th Film Festival Malaysia**

My new job is “FUN”

Written on November 30, 2006 – 5:54 pm | by avenue299

It’s been a month working in International SOS in the Specialty department. But most of the time, I was engaged in training sessions. But it’s fun having these training.

My job now is full time talking to the telephone calls. The major thing I do is to fulfill rich people’s request and needs. For example, they call in to book a hotel in London, they I’ll help them to do the reservation all through the phone. Some even have strange request like moving house from KL to Singapore and etc etc. It’s challenging and yet funny sometimes.

Colleagues in the department are very helpful and willing to share their experience with me. I consider myself lucky working in this department. The other departments are really not so happy! Haha!

From Marketing to Servicing…

Written on November 3, 2006 – 7:37 am | by avenue299

1 Nov is indeed a new beginning for myself. I’ve changed job and it is a POSITIVE one. I am now working as a Customer Service Executive in International SOS (M) Sdn. Bhd. in the Specialty Department. It’s a challenging yet "funny" department.

Mostly, my job is to fulfill somebody’s requirement. And usually, they are filthy rich people. At first, I was confused of what I am supposed to do in this department, but after three days of training, I know clearly my scope of work. BTW, in this corporate company, I will be going through another two weeks of intensive training by my lovely trainer, Rita.

I take LRT to work now and at my first day of work, I got shocked by the amount of people "lining up" to get in the LRT station and it was also a surprise to know that people in Malaysia actually queue up to get on board of a train. (A pat of each others’ shoulder!)

Anyway, I believe I still have a lot more to go in this company. Wish me luck and God bless!
