Recipe for “Chocolate Sofa Cake”

I would like to share a recipe for the ultimate "Chocolate Sofa Cake". (Y sofa?!)

First of all, prepare the following ingredients :

For the cake : A box of Pillsbury Chocolate Moist Supreme Cake Mix (which u can easily get from all major supermarts in M’sia), 3 eggs, 1 and 1/2 cup of water, 3/4 cup of oil (which I substituted with melted butter).

For the icing : A bar of non-sweet chocolate and white chocolate chips.

Wipe a layer of butter on the baking tray. This is to avoid the cake from sticking on the tray after it is cooked.

Mix the main ingredients using the mixer slowly. Put in the flour mix and water a little by a little. Followed by the eggs and melted butter.

Stir the mixture alternately using slow and fast mode. 10 seconds slow mode followed by 10 seconds fast mode for around 3-5 minutes. This is to ensure the mixture is thoroughly mixed.

Pour in the mixture into the baking tray. Put it into the oven which is already heated before around 200 Celcius. Bake it for about 20 minutes.

While waiting for the cake to cook, we shall prepare the icing now. Melt the non-sweetened chocolate bar on a heated dish/pan. The correct way to melt a block of chcocolate is rather easy but a lot of people do not know how to do it correctly. Now, u should have a small pot and a small dish which can fit just nice on top of the pot. Pour in a small amount of water in the pot and boil it. Put the choc on the dish. Make sure you do not close the pot using its cover. This will cause the water from the steam leaking back on the choc.

After the cake is cooked (To check : Pook in the wooden chopstick in the middle of the cake and take it out. If the chopstick is clean, the cake of fully cooked), cut the cake into half. Put a layer of melted choc on the first piece. Then stack the second piece of cake on top of the first one. Now, continue to put layers of melted choc on the whole cake. Decorate the cake with some white chocolate chips. Now, put it into the fridge.

After the icing is fixed, CUT A PIECE AND PUT IN UR MOUTH! Great! Enjoy urself!!!
